Middle-aged Janis has no regrets and feels overjoyed in the hours leading up to the birth. Ana, by contrast, is a frightened, conflicted and traumatized teenager. Janis tries to cheer her up as they wander the hospital wards like sleepwalkers. The few words they exchange in these hours will create a very strong bond between them and fate will take its course, dramatically complicating both their lives.
