Parallel Mothers

Overview

Two women, Janis and Ana, are sharing a hospital room where they are about to give birth. Both are single women facing an unplanned pregnancy. Middle-aged Janis has no regrets and feels overjoyed in the hours leading up to the birth. Ana, by contrast, is a frightened, conflicted and traumatized teenager. Janis tries to cheer her up as they wander the hospital wards like sleepwalkers. The few words they exchange in these hours will create a very strong bond between them and fate will take its course, dramatically complicating both their lives.
