Overview

Based on a true story, The American follows one of the select few Americans, Joy Womack (Talia Ryder), to be admitted into the prestigious, but punishing, Russian Bolshoi Ballet School, where she is tutored by the vaunted Tatiyana Volkova (Diane Kruger).
