Overview

A spinster, thinks that she takes second place to her cousin Adeline, but she expects to become Lady Hulot on her death and hopes for a marriage proposal from Hector Hulot. But she finds herself offered the post of housekeeper. Deeply upset she leaves for Paris where she plots with Mayor Crevel.
