Overview

Born seventh after six other girls, Fidela is condemned to be the witch of her Sardinian village. Shunned from men and cursed to never have a child of her own, she gives birth to all the other women's children. When Bastiana, an illegitimate seventh daughter is entrusted to her, she not only discovers the power of being a mother, but begins to question all the beliefs and traditions around her.
