Overview
"POP STAR" is a teen musical that explores the universal clash between ambition, culture and the pursuit of fame at any cost. "POP STAR" tells the tale of Roxie Santos, an 18 year-old orphan with a gifted singing voice and a passion to fulfill her parents' dream of reaching stardom. However, Roxie's dream is threatened when her brother Frank, a talented but penniless musician, gets ready to break up their struggling band. Refusing to let their dream die, Roxie teams up with bad-boy music producer, Eddie Marz, who makes her a lucrative offer that she finds hard to refuse. Roxie embarks on a heartbreaking musical journey where she must choose between the lure of the spotlight and remaining true to herself and her family.
