From master director Jia Zhang-Ke, a document of Chinese society since 1949. Jia interviews 3 prominent authors born in the 50s, 60s and 70s. We hear of the circumstances they faced in their villages and towns, and the political effort undertaken to address it, from the social revolution of the 50s through the unrest of the 80s. An account of a changing China from one of its foremost directors.
