Work is plentiful but rooms are scarce during WWII. Two girls and two boys share a room as they work on opposite shifts, but opposites still manage to attract. Based on the story "Room for Two."

His scheme: to steal war-surplus narcotic drugs from a ship in the Los Angeles harbor. However, he requires backers--which he seeks with a 16mm promotional film shown to gangsters. They agree. Bad decision.
