After revealing to her husband that she has been having an affair, Anna leaves him. In a bid to understand, devastated husband Mark follows her and soon starts to realise that Anna is hiding a secret of monstrous proportions.

In occupied France during the WWII, a German officer is murdered. The collaborationist Vichy government decides to pin the murder on six petty criminals. Loyal judges are called in to convict them as quickly as possible.
