On May 1, 1994, three-time Formula One champion Ayrton Senna was killed in a horrific crash at the San Marino Grand Prix in Imola, Italy. Thirty-one years after his death, his girlfriend Adriane Galisteu revisits her fairy-tale relationship with Brazil's greatest idol. Only one year into their whirlwind relationship, the tragedy cut short the couple's promising future and turned a grieving and increasingly isolated Adriane into a target of criticism. Told through Adriane's first-person reflections, as well as interviews with those who knew Senna best, this two-part documentary reveals a behind-the-scenes look at the couple's storied romance, while offering new insights on the F1 racing star's life and legacy.

This little known chapter of Ayrton Senna's short but storied career, follows the young Brazilian as he competes in Britain's Formula 3 versus Martin Brundle. The two men struggle back and forth all season long in a battle for supremacy and a shot at a Formula 1 contract. Without Brundle, there would be no Senna.
