While fishing at a quiet lake, a man witnesses a murder. Although confronted by the killer he manages to escape. Afraid of the consequences of becoming involved he decides not to report what he saw. Instead the real murderer does go to the Police, claiming that he is the witness. After speaking to a priest the innocent man finally hands himself in, only to be arrested and found guilty
