In post-Civil War New Orleans, a charming ex-Confederate soldier-turned gambler and his silent Pawnee Native American partner become crime fighters.

In this Western filmed in and around Phoenix, Arizona, three prospectors--Senn, Taylor, and Hayden--divide and bury their gold to safeguard it from warring Apache Indians. After greedy Senn kills Taylor and wounds Hayden, a young Chinese girl saves Hayden's life. But Senn tells a bounty hunter that Hayden killed Taylor and schemes to share the reward for Hayden's capture. The plan goes awry when Senn accidentally blows up the gold cache and goes berserk.
