This film, set in Montreal, does not tell a story in the traditional sense. Instead, it offers an honest image of the life of four young people and their dreams of change. People unemployed, dissatisfied with their work or caught up in complicated social relationships.

Annie is a Canadian attorney currently defending Pablo, a Chilean who fled his home country because his political views were about to cost him his life. Looking for a legal loophole, Annie convinces her single sister, Claire, to wed Pablo so that he can remain in North America by law. Unfortunately, immigration officers are watching the couple, and Claire and Pablo must go to great lengths to deceive the government.

Prompted by her coworker's concern about her single status, Giselle seeks romance through a dating agency.
