Wang Xiao

Inspired by real photos from the Nanjing Massacre, 1937. During WWII in Nanjing, postman A-Chang is forced to work as a film developer for the Japanese army. Hidden in the photo studio, he shelters civilians while secretly smuggling out photos that expose the massacre to the world.

Lang Lang performs Grieg's virtuosic Piano Concerto with the Munich Philharmonic on a program of Romantic classics that also includes overtures from Wagner's "Tannhauser" and Tchaikovsky's "Romeo and Juliet," plus R. Strauss's "Don Juan."
