A downturned economy has forced the Kumars to make a new start. From 2001 to 2006, the beloved TV family called BBC their home for `The Kumars at No. 42'. Now they are living in a flat in Hounslow, behind a homewares and gift shop operated by dad Ashwin. Son Sanjeev is divorced from his wife of nearly two years and Ashwin has secured a sponsorship deal that has enabled him to resurrect the family's talk show, which takes place in the living room of their flat. Each talk show episode features three celebrity guests, who can't help but become embroiled in the Kumar's domestic squabbles.
