Lexi Underwood

El is an aspiring sneaker designer from Queens who works in a shoe store that once belonged to his late mother. He hides his artistic talent from his stepfather and two mean stepbrothers who constantly thwart any opportunity that comes his way.

After coming out as nonbinary and thrown out of their family's home, a teen lives with their estranged sister and starts at a new school. With support from an art teacher and a kind student, they begin to find confidence and a sense of belonging.
