When Paolo's partner starts a family and wants to have children, Paolo ends the relationship. He does not yet feel ready for the challenge, especially after his own conflicted childhood. However, when Paolo's pregnant partner disappears, his life changes abruptly.

This TV film explores a little-known aspect of Italy’s fight against organised crime: the recovery of Italy’s “honour sons”, teenagers trained by their fathers or grandfathers to believe that murder, death and prison are steps in an obligatory step in the family trade. The film is inspired by the work of the magistrates of Juvenile Court of Reggio Calabria, the first in Italy to remove children from Ndrangheta families.
