This film is the story of the British destroyer H.M.S. Torrin, from its origins to its sinking during World War II, and the crew aboard it.

Noel Coward's rise from a shabby suburb of London to becoming the greatest multi-talented artist of all time, told in his own words, music, and extraordinary home movies. Coward left school when he was only nine years old. He was queer in a very straight world. And yet by the age of 30, he was the highest paid writer in the world.

Charlie is out of jail and on the make with a plan for the heist of the century. Aided by top criminal mastermind Mr Bridger, Charlie sets off with a team of villains and to lift $4,000,000 from under the noses of the Turin Polizei.

Adapted from Graham Greene's novel, Alec Guinness stars in this classic spy spoof as Jim Wormold, an English expatriate who sells vacuum cleaners in Havana. His life is irrevocably changed as he is recruited by Hawthorne (Noel Coward), and pressed into service as an operative of M.I.5, which he reluctantly agress to so he can earn extra money for his 17-year-old daughter.
