As the movie opens, Spring has arrived in Jellystone Park. Just as fast as tourists arrive, Yogi is up to his usual act of stealing their picnic baskets and any other food he encounters.

Yogi and Boo Boo are beamed up to a spaceship and alien invaders send clones of our two heroes, called Duploids, back to Earth in their place.

Yogi Bear dreams of nothing more in life than to swipe the picnic baskets of unsuspecting tourists while outwitting the ever-exasperated park ranger.
