Elizabeth Jayne Stillwell

Uptight, workaholic and strong-willed, Jackie (Academy Award winner Helen Hunt) is the ultimate New York professional. An editor of The New Yorker magazine, she is appalled to hear that her son (Brenton Thwaites) has dropped out of college and taken off to Los Angeles to pursue his twin passions: writing and surfing. Unable to relinquish control, Jackie follows him to LA, where she befriends a limo driver (David Zayas), begins a relationship with a sexy young surf instructor (Luke Wilson) and starts to finally understand and connect with her son.

Three children under the care of a new babysitter start to learn very quickly that she’s not there to take care of them and is up to something worse.
