Clark dreams of becoming a famous screenwriter. When a big Hollywood movie begins filming in his quaint hometown, he sneaks his way onto the movie set. Clark finds himself face-to-face with the movie's star, Helena Harris. The two begin to fall for each other and she offers to help him achieve his dream. However, things become complicated by the return of Emily, Clark's high school sweetheart.

At the end of his career, a pro baseball player returns to his hometown to face his fractured past and discover a life beyond the diamond.

A couple goes on the run when they are accused of a murder and leave their baby on Samantha's (Kellie Martin) doorstep.
