Everybody has always loved Jeanne. These days, she hates herself. Up to her ears in debt, she has to go to Lisbon and sell her mother’s apartment, who passed away one year ago. At the airport, she runs into Jean, a whimsical and somewhat intrusive former high school classmate.

France is a star journalist running between a television set, a distant war and her busy family life. But everything is turned upside down after she injures a delivery man in a car accident. As France attempts to slow down and retreat into an anonymous life, her fame continues to pursue her.

On a rare night off, parking attendant Yannick goes to the theater to catch a production of the comedy The Cuckold. Dissatisfied by the boring performance, Yannick hijacks the show: he takes the theater hostage and demands to become the playwright.

Unmarried chauvinist Damien wakes up in a matriarchal society where he falls in love with Alexandra and must work to decipher the inverted codes of this new world.
