Ostracised by the other members of the small fishing community where he lives for surviving the tragedy that claimed his brother Michael and four other men, Aaron finds himself drifting into a dream-like, fantasy-based reality shaped by the folklore tales his mother told him as a child. As his search for answers unfolds, and heedless of the concerns of his mother Cathy, Aaron, convinced that his brother is still alive, sets out on a journey to find him.
