Shy and retiring, young mother Steph embarks on a career as a party planner, which helps her grow in confidence and make new friendships. Alongside Steph, Nita, who has a wayward husband, Dawn, a woman who has been supporting her father and three brothers, and Pauline, a lonely housewife, all sign up to become Ann Summers saleswomen.
