A mentally disturbed Air Force pilot, Capt. Eddie Gordon (William O'Leary), murders his parents and brother, then commandeers a plane that is armed with a nuclear missile. Gordon, who is also a religious zealot, takes to the air and intends to destroy Las Vegas, which he feels deserves to be punished. Gordon's superior officer and squad leader, Col.
