Boichek is a hapless, low-ranking soldier who earns extra money by participating in medical experiments. During one such experiment, Boichek's mental health begins to deteriorate, and he begins to experience a series of apocalyptic visions. Assaulted from all sides by forces he cannot control, Boichek takes matters into his own hands when he finds his wife has been sleeping with another soldier.
