The story has been inspired by a real event that took place in Turkey, but the characters and what happened afterwards are fictional. The film tells the humorous story of a chain of events that is set in motion when a night club is ordered to move from the city center to a nearby small town. The audience sees the story unfold through the eyes of a 9-year-old child who questions life, adults, and what it means to be "good” or "evil”. A tragicomic story that springs forth when the lives of different people meet and collide; in ways both moving and humorous: “Not so Far Away”.

When Şahsu goes to Adana for a lecture, it's the perfect chance to face her estranged grandfather. But soon, she finds herself in the midst of a legend.
