Sheeba Chaddha

A vertically-challenged bachelor with a larger-than-life personality discovers his life's purpose through his relationships with two wildly different women.

The film is set in the period of the emergency in India, i.e. the 19-month-long period from 1975 to 1977 when there was a state of emergency across the country.

Pallavi Patel is the quintessential, middle aged, devoted housewife who is equally famous for her dance as she is for her cooking. But what happens when a rumor about her, threatens to disrupt her middle-class family’s ethos, on the eve of her son Tejas’ engagement with a rich, NRI girl?

Both Jaggi and Simi have been harboring a dream of winning Amritsar’s biggest inter-college bhangra competition for their respective colleges (who also happen to be arch-rivals). But, amidst endless banter and bhangra beats, the unusual duo finds love. With feelings seeping into their lives uninvited, will their zest to win the ultimate contest – Bhangra Battle in London – take a backseat?
