Theodore, an awkward and clumsy Parisian struggling to come to terms with a bad breakup, is suddenly reinvigorated when he spots a pretty girl jogging. The next day, he stumbles upon an old jazz songbook that contains all but one page for "The Sound of Love,” a tune that supposedly has the power to make anybody who hears it fall in love. Theodore travels to New York to find the rest of its music.
