An outspoken Russian man faces prison in Siberia, but his tormentors can't break his independent spirit.

A restaurateur is torn between his individual hopes and his sense of duty when his father commits suicide and he's expected to take over the family industry. Reluctant to leave behind all that really matters to him, he is forced to take drastic steps as he attempts to save the company from bankruptcy, while in turn his neglected personal life starts on a perilous downward spiral.
