The second sequel to 'Dirty Harry', in which Clint Eastwood reprises his role as stone-faced, Magnum-toting cop Harry Callahan. This time he is unwillingly partnered with a female officer (Tyne Daly) and charged with tracking down a terrorist group made up of psychopathic hoodlums. The action moves at a frenetic pace and culminates in a shoot-out on Alcatraz Island.

Set in 1944 during WWII, an embittered G.I. returns to his war-weary unit after being demoted from staff sergeant to private but is forced once again step up into a leadership role when they are ordered to defend a position along the German front line.

Danny Kaye cuts loose with his trademark musical clowning. Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong plays his horn and croons in that famed gargling-granite voice. Big Band icons Bob Crosby, Ray Anthony and Shelly Manne join the fun. And Barbara Bel Geddes and debuting teen Tuesday Weld add to the excellent performances in The Five Pennies, the success-tempered-with-tears biopic of jazz great Red Nichols.
