As Wendy Darling recounts stories to her brothers, John and Michael, she is visited by Peter Pan. Peter, a boy who magically never ages, invites Wendy and her brothers to Neverland, an island where he lives with the Lost Boys. Once there, however, Wendy and her brothers are kidnapped by Captain Hook. Peter, with assistance from the fairy Tink, must face Hook in order to rescue the Darlings.

Hollywood star Joe is now a teenage boy in a tentative relationship with a school-girl called Ruth. Further, his mother's friend, Evelyn, is attempting to seduce him. Engulfed by guilt at the unintended, tragic consequences of his subterfuge, he leaves home. The movie then switches back to contemporary Hollywood. Joe confronts his fear and returns to England for a difficult meeting with Ruth, who had gone on to marry Boots and has been a left a poor widow.

It's Hollywood, but not as you know it. The Weiss family are an archetypical Hollywood dynasty - Dr Stafford Weiss is a psychotherapist whose self-help books have made him a fortune. His wife Cristina is the overbearing mom-ager of their thirteen-year old son, Benjie, a prodigious child star fresh out of drug rehab and their estranged daughter Agatha has recently been released from a psychiatric hospital. Agatha is now back in Hollywoodmaking friends with a wannabe actor/writer limo driver named Jerome and with a new job as PA to one of Stafford’s clients - the neurotic and tempestuous actress Havana Segrand, whose dream of reprising her dead mother’s starring role from the 1960s is beginning to haunt her.

The hypnotic beat of salsa provides the backdrop to this urban drama about three lonely Londoners contemplating life's greatest mystery - women. There is Fergus (David Morrissey), who is searching for the high-school sweetheart he jilted years ago (Jane Horrocks). Eddie (Jimi Mistry), the pick-pocket who falls for Jocelyn (Catherine McCormack), the grave tender. And Frankie (Craig Ferguson), who is determined to find the love of his life while still living with his ex-wife. Jimmy (Adrian Lester) the streetwise cabbie guides them all on their tumultuous search for love.
