The first investigation for a rookie police constable is finding the missing father of a young woman he winds up falling desperately in love with.

Anjaan is a 1956 Indian Hindi film, directed by M. Sadiq. The film stars Pradeep Kumar, Vyjayantimala, Johnny Walker and Jeevan in lead roles. The film had musical score by Hemant Kumar.

Geeta, an educated woman, gets married to Ratan. However, Ratan believes that educated women are incapable of managing a family and refuses to accept Geeta. Tormented by Ratan's behaviour, Geeta leaves Ratan and goes on to become a doctor.

Pratap, a fugitive, meets Anokhi and her friends who can resort to any means to sustain their livelihood. He then helps them change their ways.

After much concern over her marriage to Pran, Aruna disappears, and Pran decides to search for the missing girl.
