A gangster, a star actress, and a rouge soldier collide in this World War II thriller. As the Japanese army invades China, mobster Lu refuses to collaborate with the army. Watabe, a secret soldier assigned to protect actress Xiao, violently betrays her. Years later, after the war had ended, Lu and Xiao plot their vengeance on the soldier.

Based on a true story, this war epic follows the story of the eight hundred Chinese soldiers who took on the Imperial Japanese Army in 1937.
