College students, Shakthi and Joseph, fall in love with two sisters. When the girls' family learns of their affairs, they are ready to go to any length to save their honour.

The village of Usilampatti is notorious for honour killings which is a very clear warning to all the young girls or boys found to marry against their traditional family wishes. Sundarapandian (Sasikumar) is a resident of a neighboring village and is known as a mischievous person, but at the same time is protective towards young girls and old ladies in the village.
