A group of artists is hired by a millionaire to perform at his remote mansion for a special celebration. The night soon takes a turn for the bloody as the group realizes they are trapped inside and with an unknown murderer on loose.

A Paris police officer commits suicide after becoming the target of an internal investigation, and Det. Gérard Delvaux (Alain Chabat) takes stewardship of the man's informant, or "cousin," Nounours (Patrick Timsit). Gérard is determined to make a dent in the Paris drug trade, and, as he works with Nounours, he develops a grudging respect for the drug dealer. Soon the two men become friends, and Gérard finds the border breaking down between the rule of law and the world of crime.
